VScape

VScape lets you orchestrate virtual-machines, compute-grids, data-grids, app-servers or any application services. With our technology you assemble, deploy, provision, monitor and automatically tune your applications (see AI-AAS or Platform-as-a-Service/PAAS). By incorporating application metrics VScape will grow and shrink application pools based upon demand and SLA policies; making optimal use of the data centre resources and providing business alignment.

VScape orchestrates at multiple layers, brokering between application demands and their business policies.

Input-drivers include many standard attributes such as timing, demand, underlying resource attributes (e.g. power consumption, CPU capacity, pending tasks) as well as bespoke, tailored metrics for any environment.

Key features include:

• Application and environment-aware orchestration that provides rich, SLA-based application tuning (using time, quality, resource, priority etc). Compatibility with DataSynapse Grid Engines, Oracle Coherence-Nodes, RFS nodes or other distributed architectures (including VM and Provisioning tools).
• Environmentally sensitive selection means the most appropriate resources can be utilised based upon CPU, power-consumption, heat-generation, machine age or other criteria (Green-DC).
• Demand can be driven via application-logs, alerts or directly from the SLA model providing simple integration to existing applications.

In providing a distributed runtime, location aware activity is handled by the fabric making it possible to deploy a single application across multiple Datacentres or clouds.
